Exclusion - Designated Operations

An endorsement that removes coverage for specifically named operations or activities from the policy. Carriers writing tower contractor risks may designate exclusions for demolition work, blasting, asbestos abatement, or work above certain heights that fall outside the risk they agreed to underwrite. Tower contractors must verify that no designated operations exclusion applies to their core activities and negotiate removal of any exclusion that conflicts with contracted scope of work.
